Double Edition! November and December 2012 Mentionables

Because I was unable to post my mentionables for both November and December due to extreme traveling and the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, I'm here today for a double edition!

Hooray, indeed!

First up, my November mentionables...

My kitchen now has a cool vibe thanks to this light fixture I piked up at Lowe's for a sweet $29.98

Next, who says you have to spend a fortune to get comfortable and stylish shoes? I love my black suede-like wedges ala Payless for $26.99. No seriously, I wear these things to the office almost every day.

And lastly, I'm completely in love with the new Revlon Color Stay Whipped Foundation (available at almost any drug store for around $13.00). It's creamy and long wearing with a medium to full coverage.

Now on to my December mentionables....

I've been wanting to incorporate some grey in to my bedroom for some time now. Being the awesome mom that she is, for Christmas my mom gave me this beautiful comforter set from Target. It's the perfect, subtle hint of grey I was after.

And, because I'm old fashioned and still like to keep a calendar around, I'd like to mention the Old Farmer's Almanac Gardening Calendar. It's been a staple in my home for years now and I always pick one up with the beginning of a new year. I love the illustrations and quirky "seasonal lore."

It's now a brand new year, full of possibilities. I'm looking forward to many new and exiting adventures this year, and I can't wait to share them all with you. And with that, I leave you with a quote.

"The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience." - Eleanor Roosevelt

  1. Don't let anyone hate on Payless shoes! I have a pair of wedge, peep toe shoes I have had for at least 5 years and get compliments every time I wear them. I love these pumps! I'll have to check them out for my "January Project: Grown Up Closet". Also LOVE the comforter. Gray is my absolute favorite "color". Does the foundation settle in creases at all? Great mentionables, Emily!

    1. Payless shoe wearers unite!!! NO settling issues with the foundation yet. I'm really pleased with, especially considering the price.
